Greater Des Moines Junior Soccer Rules

For games at Hidden Valley The rules discussed above apply plus...

 

  • Forfeiture. When two teams have been scheduled for a game, and one team fails to show following a fifteen (15) minute grace period the game shall be recorded as a forfeit, provided that a minimum of seven (7) players are present on the showing team.
  • Minimum Playing Time. All players on teams in the Under 14 age groups and younger shall play at least one-half of the game. All players on teams in the Under 15 through Under 19 age groups shall play at least one-third of the game
  • Game Suspensions and Called Games. The referee shall have the power to temporarily suspend the game for up to fifteen (15) minutes to allow for game control of participants and/or spectators or the passing of inclement weather. If after fifteen (15) minutes of suspension, unplayable conditions exist, the game shall be called.
